Great product

I was leery but, after many videos I decided to give it a try. First off, installing it was really easy. Tough part is routing the power cables. Also I had a 50’ run so I had to upsize the cables. The threaded rods for mounting this were too short.i sourced some locally ( it would be nice if it just came with 4 12” pieces so one could just cut to length. Also had to extend the “duct”. All of this wasn’t a big deal and didn’t really lengthen the installation time but maybe an hour.
Once all installed I turned it on. It was 85* inside my building and fifth wheel. Turned it up to high and turbo and set the temp at 61*. It was blowing out 48* air using a meat probe. Probably colder using a different method of measure. It brought the temp down to78* and the outside temp went up to 99*. At 78* the inside felt awesome. While running wide open all this time it was consistent at around 650w (25a @ 24vdc). Impressive. This is in a 35’ fifth wheel with 2 large opposing slides (wide body fifth wheel) and a bedroom slide, all out. I was able to set a fan on the island and blow up towards the bedroom and it too cooled down nicely.
The unit is so quiet. You can leave the t.v. At a normal volume, have a normal conversation and sleep.
The reason i installed this was to save power. I have 3300w of solar and 14.4kW of battery and I can easily run this all day and more importantly all night. I do have an 8000btu window air I can run as well which also draws 650w running wide open. Used to have two Coleman machines 2 13.5 btu roof airs and each would draw around 1500-1600w. Had I not removed the front roof air and covered the roof with solar panels I would have 2 of these.
I think it’s worth every penny.

Installation was a challenge!

Purchased the 24V model for my 18' travel trailer to replace the 120V power hog. I watched several YouTube videos and this unit has higher reviews and seems to be a better value than the competition.
Installation was a CHORE! First and foremost, the instructions are HORRIBLE! My roof is one inch taller than this unit will accommodate. Ok, I understand this isn't one-size-fits-all and I extended the rods using coupling nuts. I also had to extend the slip-fit duct.
My biggest issue was lack of clarity how the inner ductwork is fastened. Images aren't very good and it's not always clear which direction is FRONT. The cold air duct is fastened with self tapping screws and you blindly make your own holes, hoping the orientation is right and you're not damaging something on the back side. (like WIRES!) There's an installation video on their website which helps a little but it shows an entirely different screw location.
They utilize a universal remote and the controls are confusing. Adding to the confusion are a couple buttons for features that don't exist. (like heat) My particular remote doesn't respond very well unless I'm within 2 feet, I have cheap batteries in the remote and will try a higher quality battery.
All said and done, I am please with the performance overall. I went from 13,500 BTU down to 10,000 and it maintains the temp very well in my 18 ft trailer. I am extremely pleased with the automotive-style freon system and the unit is crazy efficient.
SUGGESTIONS FOR A BETTER PRODUCT:
A better remote would be nice but I realize this may add to the cost. A Bluetooth phone app would be better option.
Most importantly, PLEASE update your instructions and make it clear which direction components go. A simple sticker indicating FRONT would be appreciated!
I realize these are manufactured to meet a certain price point and the unit delivers excellent value. There's lots of nice features and I think the overall construction is good. The manufacturer needs to resolve a few quirky items to make this an awesome unit.
Oh - one last comment. I initially ordered black and they quickly notified me it was backordered. (excellent communication) I was hesitant accepting white but I'm really glad I did. The white cover looks good and is SIGNIFICANTLY cooler than black. I think this will help the overall efficiency and longevity.

Thank you so much for your detailed and thoughtful feedback — we truly appreciate you taking the time to share your installation experience.

We sincerely apologize for the inconvenience caused by the unclear instructions you encountered. We now have updated our installation manual with clearer diagrams and step-by-step guidance to help future customers have a smoother experience. The previous version was a universal remote, but we’ve now upgraded to a customized a simplified interface.

As for roof compatibility, our included screws and ducting are designed for roof thicknesses of 5–9cm. For thicker roofs like yours, additional Screws and duct extensions may be required, and we’re sorry this . We’ll make sure to include more prominent guidance and labels in future production.

We're also thrilled to hear that the performance of the unit is meeting your expectations. Thanks again for your honest review and helpful suggestions.

Great for van

Installed in Ford Transit high roof extended. Very efficient. It's been mid to upper 90s here in Dallas, battery monitor has ranged from around 420 watts in middle of day to 225 to 240 watts at night set to 76 F. Remote isn't very good, seems like it can only turn on and off and change C to F. But still love ac overall.

Replaced my automatic

Just purchased for my airstream interstate motorcoach. For years I couldn't hear my wife talk . I can hear everything. The competition better hurry up or they'll be left pouring in the back

Quiet

My husband installed this AC. He said it was easy to follow directions and only took a few hours. When we tested it we found it was extremely quiet outside and inside the camper. So far very pleased with AC. Our next trip is in May so we will know more!!
