FAQs

What's the indoor unit color for Black A/C Unit

There are both white inside plinth for the black Unit and white Unit

If it can be used while driving or is it only to be used while parked?

Absolutely — the unit is designed to run whether you're driving or parked, making it perfect for off-grid travel or long road trips.

Can these A/C units be mounted vertically rather than horizontally?

Rooftop A/C units are designed for horizontal (flat) installation only and cannot be mounted vertically. Installing them vertically may affect performance and could lead to operational issues.

What are the power cable specifications for the air conditioner units?

Each unit comes with its power cable, pre-installed with fuses for safety. The details are as follows:

12V Unit: 5 AWG cable, 15 ft long, with two fuses (120A and 150A)

24V Unit: 8 AWG cable, 15 ft long, with two fuse (80A and 80A)

48V Unit: 9 AWG cable, 15 ft long, with two fuses (60A and 50A)

All cables are included with the unit

What roof thickness is your rooftop air conditioner compatible with?

Our rooftop air conditioner comes with an included air duct and mounting screw kit that is suitable for vehicles with a roof thickness between 5 cm and 9 cm.

For thinner roofs:

A proper installation can be achieved by adding spacers/shims or by trimming a portion of the air duct. You can refer to our YouTube installation video for detailed guidance.

For thicker roofs:

The air duct can be extended through DIY solutions or by using aluminum foil tape to lengthen the duct as needed.

And, we plan to release a dedicated air-duct extension kit as a separate product in the future, which will be available for purchase.

If you have any questions about your specific vehicle, feel free to contact us for further assistance.

What is the correct torque specification during installation, especially for the mounting bolts and nuts?

Mounting bolts (main threaded rods):

Tighten by hand until they can no longer be turned. Do not overtighten at this stage, as an M8 anti-slip lock nut will be installed afterward to further secure and reinforce the threaded rod.

M8 lock nuts (anti-slip nuts):

Tighten to a torque of 4.5–5.5 N·m.

Flange nuts:

Tighten by hand until snug (until they can no longer be turned by hand). Excessive force is not required.
